VIBRATION ANALYSIS WITH AN IPAD
The iPad Vibration Analysis System from GTI Spindle Technologies can email complete reports, data and notes that include RMS, peak values, machine pictures, severity plots and custom drawings by the user.
In Booth N-7317 at IMTS 2012, GTI Spindle Technologies, Inc. (Manchester, NH) presents the iPad Vibration Analysis System with VibePro, a Vibration Analyzer app (Waveform and Amplitude Spectrum) that is used with their two-channel data acquisition box for a 16GB iPad with 3G capability. VibePro is a vibration analyzer that collects and analyzes vibration signals to the iPad, allowing the user to take readings and leverage the powerful platform of the iPad.
Connected to AT&T or a Verizon data network, the user can access the Internet for inventory data, machine specs and reading history. Allowing the user to connect the vibration analyzer to the Internet opens a world of undiscovered possibilities including live video conferencing, real-time off-site expert analysis, time and frequency analysis, and more.
The system can email complete reports, data and notes that include RMS, peak values, machine pictures, severity plots and custom drawings by the user. It has an online database using Dropbox to manage and organize collected signals for different machines from different devices and can be synchronized with the VibeTrend App to remotely monitor the overall value of the vibration for each machine. It also has a bearing fault frequency calculator and markers on the spectrum for bearing frequencies, RPM, high peak and harmonics.
This system is 10 percent of the cost of traditional vibration analysis system and comes in a light weight and water resistance case. www.gtispindle.com
