These mechanical presses specifically address the needs of metal stampers who cannot afford a higher priced traditional press up to 1200 tons, but still want comprehensive service and support before, during, and after the press is installed.

Nidec Minster Corporation (Minster, OH) is pleased to announce the introduction of the MMC Press line of mechanical stamping presses to markets in North and South America. The machines will be manufactured by Ningbo CFG Machinery Company in their modern factory located in Ningbo, China.

The MMC Press line offers metal stampers a wide range of cost-effective solutions to their mechanical press needs, including single and two-point gap and unitized frame straightsides, and a full complement of tie rod construction straightside machines with crankshaft or eccentric geared drives in two or four-point configurations up to 1,200 tons capacity.

“The MMC Press line is being introduced specifically to address the needs of press users who may not be able to justify the additional cost of one of our traditional presses, but still wants the peace of mind that comes from our industry-leading service and support, before, during, and after the press is installed,” explained David Stone, MMC product manager for Nidec Minster.

MMC Presses have been engineered and built to provide a combination of reliable performance, quality and value. All machines meet or exceed JIS Class 1 accuracy standards, and are equipped with a variety of features to help improve productivity, including wet clutch and brake (most models), hydraulic overload protection, monitored automatic lubrication, and Wintriss brand controls as standard.

In addition, many straightside presses feature double-geared drives for high torque and working energy, and feature full 8-point gibbing for maximum tooling life and improved part quality. Wintriss brand WPC2000 or SmartPAC controls are standard, with a wide range of both standard and optional features to increase productivity.

While standard designs will suit the needs of many users, Nidec Minster also offers the option of customization of many MMC presses to meet specific requirements. Stone stated, “By adding the MMC Press line to our product portfolio, our goal is to not only continue to provide a wide range of quality products and services to our many thousands of existing customers, but to make inroads into many new markets as well. We know that customers have a choice, and we need to go the extra mile to win their business.

“Nidec Minster Corporation is committed to growing the MMC Press brand and looks forward to providing another quality, cost-effective choice to today’s discerning equipment buyer,” concluded Stone. www.minster.com
