The supplier of milling, turning, holemaking and toolholding solutions is honored for the fourth year in a row for establishing the recruiting and retaining of talented employees as a top priority.

For the fourth year in a row, Corp! Magazine has named Seco Tools, Inc. (Troy, MI) as one of “Metropolitan Detroit’s 101 Best and Brightest Companies to Work For,” an honor that comes by providing a highly motivating and rewarding work experience to employees.

Seco, a leading provider of metalcutting solutions for milling, turning, holemaking and toolholding, makes recruiting and retaining talented employees a top priority, which is critical in a time when skilled workers within the manufacturing sector are at a premium.

“We are in an industry that constantly competes to obtain and retain the best talent, and we value each employee for his and her contribution to the customer experience,” said Dan Sikora, the director of operations and human resources for Seco. “We have built a
culture on trust and mutual respect. It’s been the foundation to our success and the cornerstone principle for how we work with our customers and our employees.”

Three fundamental values help shape this corporate culture: passion for its customers, family spirit and personal commitment. These ideals define the company’s approach to business and come across in every interaction with employees, customers, suppliers and other business partners. The company offers several programs to reward employees who are dedicated, responsible and creative, as well as fosters an environment where employees are heard.

Furthermore, the company provides comprehensive training to empower employees to achieve optimal performance, takes a solutions-oriented approach to product quality and innovation, and builds cross-functional teams to drive future company growth. “Employee morale is extremely important to the Seco family. We do everything in our power to keep our employees energized so they can provide the very best products to our customers,” said Sikora. “Our employee-friendly company policies have made Seco
one of the best of the industry.”

In addition to being honored at the local level for its best practices in human resources, Seco was recognized at the national level in 2011 for being one of the “Best and Brightest Companies to Work For” in the country by the National Association for Business Resources. www.secotools.com/us
