Banner Engineering (Minneapolis, MN) introduces a new, streamlined web presence for mobile users. The new site has been configured to allow users to quickly access and share product data at the part detail level.

A robust part/model number search function on the mobile home and all other mobile web pages allows visitors to find content ranging from model-specific specifications, CAD files and diagrams to product images, literature and accessories. Product certifications and written descriptions are also included on the mobile site.

“We never want our customers to be stranded without the product information they need,” says Dan Colvin, director of sales. “Whether they’re on the manufacturing floor setting up applications or in the office designing automation solutions, Banner is committed to providing valuable, online experiences that make our customers’ lives easy.”

In addition to being able to search for data quickly, users can also share information easily. The site’s new email function allows visitors to email links to product data and documents from the mobile site.

The site’s domestic distributor search functionality relies on users’ phone/tablet’s GPS services to automatically determine their location and available distributors in the area. Results can be overridden to allow operators to search for distributors in different locations by city/state or zip code. Global distributors are also presented on the mobile site with global language translations available.

The mobile site’s updated navigation more closely mirrors bannerengineering.com and allows users to browse “Products by Industry.” Further, additional images throughout the site deliver the visual experience customers expect when browsing sites.
