DMG / Mori Seiki USA (Hoffman Estates, IL) offers one of its newer machine tools, the DMC 1035 ECOLINE vertical milling center. The cost effective DMC 1035 V ECOLINE has a sturdy cast iron C-frame foundation that features a large work envelope of 1035 mm x 560 mm x 510 mm, a large X-axis traverse of 40.7 in and MAPPS IV, a new high-performance operating system that combines the best hardware in the industry with advanced application/network systems and 3D simulation.
The DMC 1035 V ecoline is one of the most reliable, cost-efficient three-axis machine choices on the market. In this demo, a travelling y-axis column on the head, a 12,000 rpm spindle and sophisticated control technology allow for the high-speed, three-axis machining of a prototype mold in P20 steel.
Also being displayed is the DuraTurn 2050 2-axis lathe that features 8.5 in (215 mm) X-axis travel, 22.4 (570 mm) Z-axis travel, a 4,000 rpm spindle, 1 in sq tool holder type, 8 in (203.2 mm) chuck, 12 tool storage capacity, 20.8 in (530 mm) max turning length, 14.5 in (370 mm) part diameter and 2.5 in (65 mm) bar capacity, with a 13.5−13.5−11 kW (18−18−15 hp) spindle drive motor.
