Generations of local manufacturing job creation commemorated during month-long celebration.
Madison-Kipp Corporation (Madison, WI), a national leader in precision metal component manufacturing, celebrates its 115th year of operations this month. The company will also mark the 110th year of continuous operations at its current east side location.
“MKC’s first year of operations occurred in 1898,” says Tony Koblinski, president and chief executive officer of Madison-Kipp Corporation. “At that time, less than a dozen employees showed up for work. Recognized internationally as a premier producer, the firm makes precision machined aluminum die cast components and subassemblies for the transportation, industrial, lawn and garden, and leisure-end markets. Known for utilizing innovative technology and engineering, the company now employs over 400 highly skilled workers in Madison and nearby Sun Prairie, Wis.
Noting that Madison-Kipp Corporation employees have an average tenure of nearly 17 years, Koblinski says, “We’re pleased that many of our employees have been with us for decades.
