The MB-4000H from Okuma America Corporation (Charlotte, NC) provides a unique combination of high speed and power in a small footprint. Highly productive with a high-speed spindle and reduced non-cutting time, the MB-H series is built on the Okuma Thermo-Friendly Concept which enables the machine to predict and counter thermal deformation, improving accuracy.

A demonstration of a MB-4000H Horizontal Machining Center performing high speed machining on P20 tool steel. Specs include CAM: Esprit-Profit Milling; Tool: 5/8 in EM (Iscar EFPI-E5CF 625-1.56C625R13); Depth of cut: 1 in (25.4 mm); Stepover: 10 percent (.063 in); Spindle Speed: 600 spm / 12,031 rpm; Feed: 11,000 mm/min.

Complete with AMPS (Automated Modular Pallet System), this machine features Busche tombstones, Caron Engineering’s TMAC8, MP System’s high pressure coolant system and Machining Navi controls to reduce chatter inside the machine.
