Bernard TGX Semi-Automatic MIG Gun Excels on Light- to Medium-Duty Welding Applications

For light- to medium-duty welding applications and those with shorter arc-on times, Bernard (Beecher, IL) offers its TGX™ Semi-Automatic MIG Gun. This air-cooled MIG gun is available in models ranging from 180 to 400 amps and is a durable, attractively priced option for light fabrication, repairs or hobby welding.

The Bernard TGX Semi-Automatic MIG Gun is available with two different handle sizes. The TGX XL Gun features a standard handle size and includes 300- and 400-amp models, while the TGX XS Gun has a smaller, more compact handle and includes 180-, 260- and 300-amp models. Both styles of MIG guns feature a polymer-armored neck with a thick copper wall and conductor tube interior to protect it from heat, as well as a strain relief on the front and rear cables.

The strain relief helps protect the cable from wear and improve wire feedability by preventing kinking and abrasion. Available in three standard lengths of 10, 12 and 15 ft, all Bernard TGX Semi-Automatic MIG Gun models have threaded power pins and feature TOUGH LOCK™ Consumables, including a standard-duty slip-on nozzle.

TOUGH LOCK Consumables have been designed to lock from the tip to neck to keep them running cooler and to minimize downtime for changeover. End users have the option of having their distributor configure and assemble a Bernard TGX Semi-Automatic MIG Gun for their specific requirements or they can purchase a preconfigured, factory-assembled gun with all the components needed to start welding right out of the box.
