MSSC Wins 2014 Manufacturing Leadership Council Award

The Frost & Sullivan's Manufacturing Leadership Council 2014 Manufacturing Leadership Awards (ML Awards) honor companies, organizations and individuals that are shaping the future of global manufacturing.

As a recipient of the 2014 Manufacturing Leadership Council Award, the Manufacturing Skill Standards Council (MSSC: Alexandria, VA) has been distinguished for its work of increasing the number of skilled individuals entering the manufacturing workforce. The Frost & Sullivan’s Manufacturing Leadership Council 2014 Manufacturing Leadership Awards (ML Awards) honor companies, organizations and individuals that are shaping the future of global manufacturing.

It is my pleasure to accept this award.  MSSC helps produce agile knowledge workers with the stronger, cross-cutting foundational skills needed to help companies achieve greater productivity, innovation and global economic competitiveness,” said Leo Reddy, the chief executive officer of MSSC. “MSSC is seeing impressive success rates, with over 70 percent of CPT and CLT certificants either securing employment or continuing to higher levels of manufacturing training. These credentials also have a profoundly positive impact on the outlook of our certificants: over 90 percent of certified workers overwhelmingly report more confidence on the job, greater safety awareness and preparedness, and better ability to adapt to changing technologies.”

The Manufacturing Skill Standards Council is the nation’s leading training and certification body focused on the industry-wide core technical competencies needed by the nation’s front-line production and material handling workers. MSSC certifications, based upon industry-defined and federally endorsed national skill standards, enable workers to demonstrate that they have acquired the knowledge and skills increasingly needed in the technology-intensive jobs of the 21st century.

MSSC is the only national certification body accredited by the American National Standards Institute (ANSI) under ISO quality Standard 17024 (Personnel Certification) for both manufacturing and logistics.
