Oberg Industries Appoints Director of Quality and Continuous Improvement

Oberg Industries (Freeport, PA), a full-service contract manufacturer of precision metal components and assemblies, has announced the appointment of Brian Stewart as the director of quality and continuous improvement. Stewart will be responsible for overseeing Oberg’s global quality assurance strategy and execution and will lead the company’s process and efficiency improvement teams. He will report to the president and chief executive officer of Oberg, David Bonvenuto.

“Brian brings a perfect blend of quality and continuous improvement experience across several of our key market sectors with some recognized industry leaders. This appointment is a sign of our focus to ensure our quality assurance systems continue to be world-class, and our commitment to formalizing our efforts in lean manufacturing and continuous improvement,” said Bonvenuto.

Stewart brings more than 25 years experience as an engineer and leader of quality and Six Sigma/Lean operations. He most recently served as the director of operational excellence at Ducommun-LaBarge Technologies. Prior to Ducommun-LaBarge Technologies, Stewart held management positions with General Electric, Honeywell International, United Technologies and Eaton Corporation, as well as Accellent Incorporated.

Stewart has an MBA from Franklin University, an MS Degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Cincinnati and a BS Degree in Mechanical Engineering from Michigan State University. He is also a certified master black belt.
