Hardinge Hires New Director of Sales and Service

Brooke Sykes Jr. takes over sales and service for the North American Turning & Milling Group.

As the new sales and service director for the North American Turning & Milling Group, Brooke Sykes Jr. will officially join the company on or about December 8.

Hardinge Inc. (Elmira, NY) announced that Brooke Sykes, Jr. will join the company as the new sales and service director for the North American Turning & Milling Group. Sykes will report to James P. Langa, the president of the Turning/Milling Group.

Sykes comes to the company with 30 plus years of progressively responsible experience in sales, sales management, and executive leadership in the machine tool industry. Brooke began his career with J&H Machine Tools (Charlotte, NC) and most recently held the position of president of DMG Mori Ellison Technologies, TN Division. He will officially join Hardinge on or about December 8.

Langa commented, “We are very excited to have an individual of such high caliber and long tenured experience as Brooke join Hardinge. With his background and personal attributes, he will clearly help drive our success in the North American market.”

Hardinge has a very diverse customer base and serves a wide variety of end-user markets. This customer base includes metalworking manufacturers which make parts for a variety of industries, as well as a wide range of end users in the aerospace, agricultural, transportation, basic consumer goods, communications and electronics, construction, defense, energy, pharmaceutical and medical equipment, and recreation industries, among others. It has manufacturing operations in the United States, Switzerland, Taiwan, and China.
