Ohio Laser Opens New Facility
In response to increased sales demand, the 22,000 sq ft expansion realigns production flow and adds cutting capacity for flat plate, sheet and tube, parts and assemblies.

On January 1, 2015, Ohio Laser LLC (Plain City, OH) officially opened its newest facility for cutting and fabricating parts and assemblies. By adding 22,000 new sq ft of production space on its expanding Plain City campus, the company is again responding to its growing customer base and the additional customer requirements that come along with it. The new facility also launches a realignment in the company’s production flow, facilitating an improvement in customer capability.
This new facility immediately adds several new TRUMPF laser machines for cutting a combination of flat plate, sheet and tube, parts and assemblies. According to Gregg Simpson, the company president and owner, “This new facility is a direct reflection of our forecast for 2015 and beyond. More specifically, it demonstrates our commitment to being able to best respond to customer needs through an increased capacity and a more improved realignment of our production work flow.”
Ohio Laser supports a wide range of customers in North America and a growing list of companies in Mexico and South America. The company provides laser cutting, laser tube and pipe cutting, and value-added fabricating services. This includes engineering with 2D, 3D CAD/CAM drawings, PPAP Level I to Level IV, GMAW welding, FCAW welding and GTAW welding, bending, machining, heat treating and finishing, water jet cutting services, and sanding and grinding.
