One of the most stringent litmus tests for a manufacturer of structural steel equipment, such as mezzanine platforms, vertical lifts, and safety guard rail products, is certification by independent quality testing authorities. Wildeck, Inc. (Waukesha, WI), as a leading manufacturer of storing, lifting, and guarding products for nearly 40 years, is proud to announce that it has been certified to fabricate structural steel products for use in Clark County, NV, and other jurisdictions accepting the comprehensive TG-1 quality systems requirements.

According to Hubert Schlegel, the director of marketing for the company, “Achieving Clark County approval is a major accomplishment for us and recognizes the skills and expertise of all of our Employee Owners to deliver the highest quality products to our customers.”

To be recognized and approved as a fabricator by the Clark County Department of Building requires a detailed analysis of a manufacturer’s steel fabrication processes from engineering and drafting to materials procurement, manufacturing, testing, quality control and quality assurance, operator training, record keeping and other processes. “Documenting our processes and developing the comprehensive quality systems manual that is required by the CCDB to achieve certification was not an easy task,” notes Schlegel. “It required weeks of extensive effort to comply with every aspect of the TG-1 standards.”

The strict quality standards of this program are recognized by architects, general contractors, and systems integrators; not only in Clark County, but across the U.S.
