Continental Machines, Inc. (CMI; Savage, MN), manufacturer of the DoALL Sawing Products brand of metal cutting band saws, announced a two-year plan to transition from a manufacturing-based company to a service- and distribution-based company to better address customer demand. The new focus allows the company to immediately expand their current product offering to include affordable band saws and places added emphasis on providing more versatile sawing solutions to machine and fabrication shops across the globe.

“The new organizational structure is a critical step in allowing us to continue offering our customers an innovative, high quality product and to be able to quickly capitalize on shifting industry trends,” said Kurt Plechaty, the vice president of CMI. “This also creates an opportunity of cost savings for the customer who can still expect to benefit from the stringently high standards of the DoALL brand.”

CMI will increase technical support for the entire DoALL product line through their team of service and repair professionals as well as expand the availability of genuine DoALL replacement parts in their online parts store. During the transition, the company will offer their current line of DoALL core products while adding new sawing machine models. The new product line is scheduled to be launched at IMTS – the International Manufacturing Technology Show in Chicago, Sept. 12-17, 2016. In addition, existing models will also be on display.

CMI has been manufacturing the DoALL brand of industrial band saws for over 80 years. The general purpose, high production and custom engineered machines have been built at the Savage facility since 1933.
