Harrington Hoist Names New Executive Management

Ned Hunter is now executive vice president and senior executive officer of parent Kito, and Carlo Lonardi is the new company president.

Harrington Hoists, Inc. (Manheim, PA) has announced that Edward (Ned) Hunter has taken the position of executive vice president and senior executive officer of their parent company, Kito Corporation (Tokyo Japan). He is the first individual outside of Japan to serve in this position. As second-in-command, he will lead 11 of the 14 operating subsidiaries. China, Korea, and Taiwan will remain a separate division. Hunter will also remain the chairman of the subsidiary Kito Americas, Inc. (Manheim, PA).

Hunter joined Harrington Hoist as the president and chief executive officer in 2004 and was later named the president and chief executive officer of Kito Americas, where he added the infrastructure necessary to serve customers in North, South and Central America. He has also served as the leader of the EMEAOR region for four years. He holds a BBA in Economics from Temple University (Philadelphia, PA).

In another change, Carlo Lonardi has been named the president of Harrington Hoists and the president and chief executive officer of Kito Americas. In this new role, he takes on the leadership and responsibility for four Kito Group companies: Harrington Hoists, Peerless Industrial Group, Kito Canada, and Kito Do Brasil. These American companies constitute the largest division within the group. He was also named executive officer of Kito Corporation.

Lonardi has been a successful, valuable leader for the company and its customers. His energy and passion for customer satisfaction have been key elements in their continued growth. He began his career with them as the eastern division sales manager in 1997 and was later named the vice president of sales and marketing. He most recently held the position of chief operating officer. He holds a B.S. degree in Business Management from Indiana University of Pennsylvania.
