Dengensha America Corporation (Bedford, OH) has increased its resistance welding customer support capability in the U.S. and Canada by adding Brandon Malec as a sales engineer. Customers can count on Malec in areas that include product application, sales, installation and service. He is being specially trained to add customer need analysis, product application specification and offer custom product recommendation to the company’s rapidly growing customer base.

According to Don Grisez, the president of Dengensha America, ”With Brandon’s broad mechanical engineering background, technical acumen and a track record that already demonstrates his ability to manage a number of projects simultaneously, he is a perfect sales engineer fit for us as our customer base continues to grow in the U.S., Mexico and Canada.” Malec is a recent graduate of Ohio University and has a Bachelor of Engineering in Technology and Management. He has also interned at several plastic molding companies. Malec currently resides Parma, OH, and will work out of the Bedford office.

The company also announced that Hideyuki “Yuki” Taguchi has joined as a senior engineer. Prior to joining Dengensha America, Taguchi worked for Dengensha Japan as a mechanical engineer and has nearly 11 years of experience with their full line of resistance welding product equipment. He has been assigned to provide advanced engineering support for customers in the U.S., Canada and Mexico, and is replacing Motoyuki “Mickey” Arima, who is returning to Dengensha Japan after his 5-year assignment with Dengensha America.

Taguchi served Dengensha Japan for almost 11 years as a mechanical engineer and had a variety of product design and development responsibilities, including special welders, servo guns, and portable guns. He also spent one year working for Dengensha Indonesia, designing kick-less cables, establishing gun standards, generating pricing information, training employees, performing durability tests, and working extensively with customers.

”We could not be more pleased to have Yuki join our team,” added Grisez. “Considering his extensive background and technical engineering experience with respect to our full line of resistance welding product equipment, he will be an immediate asset to our staff and to our growing customer base.” Taguchi currently resides in Northfield, OH, and will be working out of the Bedford office.

Dengensha America offers automotive, agricultural and general manufacturers the most complete line of resistance welding equipment in the world. Dengensha America’s resistance welding product line includes projection and spot welders; weld guns, feeders and controls with consumables, and spare parts. Training and field service complete a single source capability.
