Niagara Cutter LLC (Troy, MI) has launched a new portfolio of solid-carbide thread mills that bring strength and process reliability to a broad range of general-purpose machining applications. Overall, this portfolio comprises thread mills for the cost effective, highly accurate production of Unified, National Pipe Tapered and Metric thread forms. With a vast selection of thread sizes, cutting diameters, cutting lengths, shank diameters and more, shops have well over 100 different tooling options from which to choose. All of the thread mills feature a standard AlCrN coating, but are also available with optional coatings of TiN, TiCN, TiAIN, AlTiN and CVD-diamond.

UNIFIED THREAD MILL FORM
Niagara UN thread mills are ideal for flat-bottom holes and large-diameter applications where torque and horsepower requirements for taps are not available. Offered in standard, coolant-through and extended-reach options, these helical flute thread mills offer positive cutting action and are suitable for both internal and external operations.

The standard TM100UN thread mill comes in a full range of industry-standard thread sizes, with cutting diameters from 0.065 in to 0.62 in and cutting lengths between 0.125 in and 1.375 in. The coolant-through TM120UN thread mill comes in various thread sizes, with cutter diameters from 0.134 in to 0.62 in and cutting lengths between 0.313 in and 1.375 in. The extended-reach TM160UN comes in a variety of thread sizes, with cutter diameters from 0.134 in to 0.62 in and cutting lengths between 0.1 in and 0.375 in.

NPT THREAD MILL FORM
Featuring a straight flute design with three and four-flute options, the TM200NPT thread mill offers eight different thread sizes and can handle both internal and external operations. Cutting diameters from 0.245 in to 0.745 in and cutting lengths between 0.4375 in and 1.5 in are possible via the thread mill.

METRIC THREAD MILL FORM
The TM300NPTF thread mill has a straight flute design with three and four-flute options. It comes in seven different thread sizes and has cutter diameters that range from 0.245 in to 0.62 in and cutting lengths between 0.4375 in and 1.125 in.

METRIC THREAD MILL FORM
Available in thread sizes from M3 to M24, the Niagara TM400MI thread mill has a helical flute design with three and four-flute options that offer positive cutting action and are suitable for both internal and external operations. Cutting diameters for this tool range from 0.085 in to 0.62 in and cutting lengths are between 0.178 in and 1.375 in.
