Dale Badger has been named president of Blue Grass Metals, Inc. (BGM; Independence, KY), a metal forming, stamping, fabrication and assembly company. He joined the company in 2003 as a technical manager and was promoted to general manager in 2007. As company president he will assume responsibility for day-to-day operations and activities from founder and former president Tony Schmidt, who is retiring from the position. Schmidt will continue to serve as the company’s chief executive officer.
“Dale has more than earned this position,” said Schmidt. “He understands the opportunities, as well as the challenges, that the company faces. I am confident that we will continue to grow and prosper under his guidance.”
Prior to joining their team, Badger spent five years in the information technology business and, prior to that, ten years in the automotive aftermarket industry with companies such as TRW and Federal Mogul. He earned his bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Thomas More College (Crestview Hills, KY). “My goal, as we go forward into the future, is for us to remain agile in our industry and react to new technologies, engineering improvements and new production techniques. At the same time, we will stay ever vigilant in the markets we serve,” stated Badger.
