Conklin Metal Industries Invests in New Precision Blanking Line
This steel service center will be able to cut and blank material up to 0.078 in by 60 in at coil weights up to 50,000 lb.

Red Bud Industries (Red Bud, IL) recently shipped a Precision Blanking Line to Conklin Metal Industries (Atlanta, GA), a steel service center and distributor of HVAC and duct fabrication supplies. The new line is capable of cutting and blanking material up to 0.078 in (2 mm) by 60 in (1,550 mm) at coil weights up to 50,000 lb (22,680 kg). The line also has beading and coil breakdown capabilities.
The new line consists of a coil stage and load system, uncoiler, peeler breaker, roller leveler, pop-up flatness table, thread system, roll feed, shear, drop stacker, automatic lowering stack table, end discharge rollouts, and recoiler for coil breakdowns. Also included in the line is a new Time Tracking System that monitors line down time in an effort to improve efficiency.
