The iShot Weld-i SAW HD camera system from InterTest is a compact weld monitoring video camera that can verify torch positions, wire feed orientation and welding part alignment during the submerged arc welding process. It uses a 1080p/30fps HDMI video signal with generated cross-hairs on a Full HD monitor to ensure the operator that the automated and live SAW process is running to specifications.

The iShot® Weld-i® SAW HD camera system from InterTest, Inc. (Columbia, NJ) is a compact weld monitoring video camera (3.4 in length x 1.25 in Ø) with capabilities to verify torch positions, wire feed orientation and welding part alignment during the submerged arc welding (SAW) process. This welding camera system uses a 1080p/30fps HDMI video signal with generated cross-hairs on a Full HD monitor to ensure the operator that the automated and live SAW process is running to specifications. This submerged arc weld camera system includes Full HD 1080/30fps output using the Sony MA130 Micro HD Camera, 16X optical zoom, Image Flip, Image Mirror, Manual Shutter/Focus/Zoom Control, Auto Image Stabilization, 13 megapixels still frame picture capture, LED illumination and Cross-hair line adjustment in both the vertical and horizontal positions.

This welding camera system comes with a choice of 10 ft, 25 ft and 50 ft cable lengths, with protective sheathing at the camera head end. The Weld-i SAW camera head uses spatter shields in front of the lens in order to protect the weld camera from any incidental spatter, smoke or dirt from the environment. iShot Imaging is a unique brand that offers standard RVI systems and custom engineered systems that are manufactured in New Jersey for welding applications in the aerospace, security, welding, nuclear and water power generation, refineries, mines, bridge and highways, and military. Other system features include:

  • A live view and verification of the torch, wire feed and part orientation of the sub arc weld process.
  • One Push Auto Focus/Auto Exposure.
  • Protective cable sheathing.
