AWS PIPELINE WELDING CONFERENCE![]() Event
DoubleTree Suites by Hilton – Houston by the Galleria 5353 Westheimer Road Houston, TX ![]() AWS Pipeline Welding Conference Makes Its Debut To register, please click here. Welding has always been an integral part of pipeline construction. It all goes back to the days when hand-held oxyacetylene torches were used to connect pipes together in the field. Much has happened since, and what has happened or, better yet, is happening will be the topics for an AWS conference on Pipeline Welding. The conference will be held on June 4-5, 2013 in Houston. Our featured speakers will cover a multitude of topics, including the welding of high strength X80 pipe steels, orbital processes used in pipeline construction throughout the world, the new FRIEX system from Belgium and many other exciting topics. Pipelines and welding – they go hand in hand. Highlights For more information, go to www.aws.org/conference or call 800-443-9353, ext.224. |

ALUMINUM CHINA![]() Event
Shanghai New International Expo Centre Shanghai, China ![]() ALUMINUM CHINA 2013 is Asia’s leading aluminum industry platform, held annually in Shanghai. By presenting customized match-making programs, buyers with emerging and established demands from booming industry clusters will connect through a world-class conference and seminar program. Aluminum China 2013 is the first choice for branding, networking and sourcing in Asia, the world’s fastest growing market. Over 450 international exhibitors from 30 countries representing the entire aluminum value chain - from aluminum raw materials, semi-finished and finished products to production and processing machinery and accessories - will meet with 15,000 qualified professionals and buyer delegates from China, all the key Asian markets and other global emerging markets. This year Aluminum China will expand its international visitor delegation program. As part of this program, organizer Reed Exhibitions offers onsite tours through the exhibition halls, networking receptions and travel packages for industry experts from the rapidly rising Asian industry clusters as well as for visitors from the major Western countries. Interested industry experts are welcome to contact boris.benesch@reedhuayin.com.cn or visit www.aluminumchina.com for more information about the event’s international visitor program. Aluminum China’s new visitor initiative can be understood as a direct reaction to China’s developing industry requirements, which strongly demand more know-how and business relationships with partners from abroad. Aluminum manufacturers in China require more advanced technology to meet the rapidly rising standards in many different application industry sectors facing their customer requirements and expectation in the globally leading supplier for ingots and semi-finished products. China’s production of primary aluminum in November 2012 increased by 13 percent compared to the same period in the previous year, mainly as a result of newly founded smelting plants and from restarting domestic smelters that had been shut down in 2008 and 2009. As a consequence of the 18th CPC National Congress, domestic aluminum smelters operate at full capacity and the plants in Xinjiang are now starting with their production. Accordingly, China’s primary aluminum output will continue to grow in the coming months. At the same time China is set to remain the world’s largest aluminum consumer throughout the next several years, accounting for more than 40 percent of global aluminum consumption. According to Alcoa’s latest predictions, the demand for aluminum in China is expected to exceed former forecasts and grow by 11 percent in 2013 to 23 million tons as the country’s new investments will begin to show their effect. Exhibitors and industry experts from all over the world will gather in Shanghai to discuss how to satisfy this demand and examine the latest developments. To satisfy this growing demand, China doesn’t only push its aluminum smelting output. It also provides the largest world-wide variety of semi-finished and finished aluminum products. The organizer of ALUMINUM CHINA 2013 will leverage this strong demand and invite an even bigger number of 550 targeted top buyers from China as well as procurement delegations from selected application industry sectors in Asia, for pre-arranged match-making sessions with international exhibitors. This combination of the supply and demand side of the aluminum industry will present a number of attractive business opportunities to both parties. For Aluminum China 2013 the blend of material exhibitions, high profile conferences and the complementary trade exhibitions COPPER CHINA 2013 and MAGNESIUM CHINA 2013 will again enhance the show’s success. Additionally, the China Aluminum Fabrication Forum, organized by the China Metal Information Network, and a new edition of the Lightweight Transportation Forum, will give participants a synergetic opportunity to source and display diversified exhibits while learning more about the key issues affecting today’s aluminum industry. Moreover, as a result of the growing exhibition area for each edition of Aluminum China, and the increasing number of exhibitors, the organizers will split aluminum materials and aluminum processing equipment into separate pavilions for the first time. |
