An overview of the company and its organization, products, services and capabilities.

When it comes to making holes in steel, Hougen’s over 50 years of innovation drives the solutions and tools for the everyday job. Hougen Manufacturing, Inc. (Swartz Creek, MI) has over 26 different models of magnetic drills. Models include: Low profile drills that are lightweight and fit into tight spots, models for drilling and tapping with machine shop type accessories, quill feed designs for constant height profiles, swivel base drills for drilling out of position holes, and larger multispeed models.

Hougen offers the widest variety of annular cutters in different styles, materials and coatings that cover most any material that would need a hole. Rotabroach® cutters include the broadest range of features to produce the best performance in the widest variety of materials.

For extremely hard materials, Copperhead™ carbide cutters help improve tool life with their unique design. A line of sheet metal hole cutters are used with hand-held drills or drill presses for clean burr-free holes in thin sheet and plate materials.

Other tools include Hougen®-Ogura® electro-hydraulic hole punchers that quickly produce holes in a single body construction without the need for external hydraulics.

Whether it’s on the job site or in the shop, Hougen’s products are designed for one job… to make holes. Hougen delivers with the quality and performance customers demand from their tools backed by the company who builds them and supported by over 4,000 distributors and 47 service centers.
