In Booth S-3508, shops will learn how to save time, space and money with the DCM IG 280 SD rotary surface grinder from DCM Tech Inc. (Winona, MN). DCM style grinding is up to 14 times faster than conventional reciprocating surface grinders. Whether it is new die building or die maintenance, DCM style grinding provides the tolerances required to produce quality die faces. The combination of variable speed spindles, programmable servo drive control and superabrasive grinding wheels creates the speed and ease to grind large dies.
The DCM IG 280 SD standard features also include a full enclosure with integral mist collection and a recirculating coolant filtration system to enhance process consistency and cleanliness. The IG 280 removes stock fast and can create finishes necessary to meet die edge requirements. The swing capacity is 27 in with a 12” in wheel hub that accepts 2A2T style ring wheels.
