The Model 300 RuggedAir Mobile Fume Extractor from Sentry Air Systems, Inc. (SAS; Cypress, TX) protects the operator’s breathing zone from harmful airborne fumes and particulates produced from welding and other industrial applications such as brazing. This system utilizes strong airflow to ensure pollutants are contained at the source before they contaminate the work space. Its cleanable Micro-Pleat Series 2 filter allows for high use and can be cleaned with compressed air without removing the filter. SAS also offers the Portable Floor Sentry fume extractor, a safety engineering control used for the capture and filtration of airborne contaminants. This source-capture fume extractor features heavy-duty casters for easy mobility, a 5 in diameter x 68 in length flame-retardant and self-supportive flex arm, a small footprint, and high-quality filtration media (filter options: HEPA, ULPA, ASHRAE, and Activated Carbon). Typical applications for this unit include welding fume control, brazing, chemical fume extraction, soldering, solvent and epoxy fume control, powder filling, light grinding, and other applications involving chemical fumes and dust.
