Precision Drive Systems (PDS; Bessemer City, NC) has appointed Gene Thompson as their new Southeast regional sales manager. Originally from Goshen, IN, he has 34 years of industry expertise and previously worked with the company as a sales manager from 2011 to 2013. He began his career as a plant manager and plant supervisor in Elkhart, IN, responsible for the plant and office operations of one of the largest die manufacturers in the United States. He has served as a plant manager for two other manufacturers, including three years with a tool and die manufacturer and another three years with a machining manufacturer, also located in Elkhart.
