Many formulators remove impurities from petroleum by adding solvents. Petro-Canada Lubricants (Mississauga, Ontario) uses severe hydrocracking instead, a two-step process involving very high temperatures and very high pressures that produces base oils that perform similarly to synthetic lubricants. They’re less toxic and less volatile than solvent-refined lubricants.
Low-viscosity Metworx Spindle Oil 2 also has additives to ensure reliable performance and extended service life by counteracting rust and oxidation. Designed for high-speed and precision machine tool spindle bearings, the ultrapure formulation also offers enhanced foam and water separation. Low odor makes for an operator-friendly environment.
