At FABTECH 2022, North America’s Largest Metal Forming, Fabricating, Welding and Finishing Show (November 8 – 10 in Atlanta), the metal sawing technology specialist demonstrates its answers to the specific and individual demands of its customers with a high degree of automation and connecting, customized products and integrative software. KASTO will be in Booth B7859.

One of the highlights at the booth is the compact KASTOecostore. The automated tower storage system achieves a high storage density in the smallest space due to its height-optimized compartment division. It is suitable for automated storing of different sheet metal formats, but also for pallets or skeleton containers up to 21,33 feet in length. This predestinates the system for applications with a high variety of materials – for example, in workshops, fitter’s stores or as buffer storage between production areas. The systems’ height ranges from 9,1 up to 26,3 feet and can be flexibly selected – just like the respective loading heights. This allows companies to make optimum use of their available space. KASTO also offers a comprehensive range of accessories, to adapt the storage system to special requirements. This includes, for example, a movable station trolley for rear loading and unloading as well as plug-in bolts for pallets and cassettes for individual storage space division. In short: With the KASTOecostore, users receive a flexible, customizable but at the same time space-saving solution for the storage of different goods with different dimensions.

With the swing-frame bandsaws of the KASTOmicut series, KASTO has developed a versatile sawing solution especially for the use in workshops. The series is designed for efficient cross-cutting and miter cutting of tubes, profiles and solid material. At FABTECH, KASTO will present the latest product group member: The KASTOmicut AE 4.6 enables an even wider range of applications than previous variants and guarantees a high degree of safety while providing excellent sawing results – even on materials which are difficult to process. The cutting range of the new model is up to 18 inches, miter cuts are possible up to 60 degrees on one side depending on material geometry and dimensions. Due to a rotating control panel, users can work comfortably, ergonomically and safely on the machine. The finished saw cuttings enter a container by tilting a chute. If the chute is swiveled into a horizontal position, longer sections can be guided out of the machine by a roller conveyor, for example. This allows the AE 4.6 to be integrated into a wide variety of hall layouts and applications.

Since 1979, the American KASTO Inc. in the Pittsburgh area with about 40 employees and an extensive spare parts warehouse serves users not only in the “Steel City” region but throughout the entire U.S. and Canada. Additionally, customers can see machines and digital solutions in advance and carry out test cuts at the showroom of KASTO’s Technology Centre in Chicago.
