An overview of the company and its organization, products, services and capabilities.

Eberle America Inc. (Lake Saint Louis, MO), a company with a long history and tradition, was founded 1836 by Norbert Eberle. In 1883 Eberle moved to the current location in Augsburg to produce fretsaw blades, and later the company began its own precision strip steel production in 1890.

In the 1950s Eberle started producing the finest bandsaw blades on the market and built a reputation as one of the leaders in the industry. In 1981 Heinz Greiffenberger took over the ownership of Eberle, which formally became the first company of the Greiffenberger Group, a family-led industrial holding company that continues to enhance the long-term development of its three business units by employing a combined total of nearly 1,000 people.

The Greiffenberger Group operates successfully worldwide in technologically-challenging niche areas of three highly profitable growth markets: (1) drive and gear technology used in Wind Power and Biomass Heating, (2) Duct Sanitation Technology, and (3) Industrial Bandsaw Blades and Precision Strip Steel.

The Group’s strategic focus is to continue to develop the expertise in all three sections, with special concentration on the fast growing environmental and renewable energies technology. Fundamental growth will be generated by increasing international sales and procurement and complemented optionally by acquisitions of further companies, matching the Group’s future-oriented product portfolio. The Group’s turnover in 2011 was at approximately $200 million.

In 1996 Eberle achieved the first certification according to the Quality Management Systems ISO 9001. The current certificate is valid until March 2014, ensuring compliance to the high standards of continual quality that our worldwide customers have come to rely upon. A new epoch in the long history of Eberle started in 2010 with the launch of its latest product and brand, Eberle CT-flex carbide tipped blades, to compliment the acquisition of the established carbide brand HuS during the same year.

The latest success of Eberle has been to be accredited as an authorized economic operator for customs simplifications in January 2012. On this occasion Eberle received the AEO certificate after a thorough assessment through Germany’s main customs.

Eberle and its three successful sister companies – Eberle Italia, Eberle France and Eberle America – are striving to take on the single role as a worldwide quality leader in manufacturing the finest industrial bandsaw products, to tap into new applications by providing “intelligent solutions made by Eberle” and to contribute our long-established know-how to benefit our valued customers around the globe in the present and in the future.
Because a bandsaw blade is not just a bandsaw blade – you need the best bandsaw blade in the world: Eberle!
