Jorgensen Conveyors, Inc. (Mequon, WI), a global supplier of custom engineered conveyor and coolant filtration solutions for CNC machine tool manufacturing, recently celebrated 65 years in business. Currently owned and operated by Chuck and John D’Amico, third generation descendent grandchildren of the founders, the company is committed to new product development and customer satisfaction. Their employees have driven their success, and the company is hiring and promoting employees as it continues to grow.

Zak Buth has been hired as their new national sales manager to manage the North American independent sales organization in the pursuit of metalworking manufacturer end user business. He is also responsible for sales to machine tool distributors, machine tool integrators and industrial distributors selling into the metalworking manufacturer end user markets. He previously worked for the company in the proposal department in the mid-1990s and, since then, has gained extensive and successful field sales and sales management experience in the insurance industry, and more recently in the industrial paint and powder coat masking industry.

Mike Weckerle was recently promoted to national sales manager for OEM-Machine Tool Builders, Importers and Distributors in North America. He brings over 35 years of Jorgensen conveyor experience, starting from the manufacturing floor to eventually being manager of the proposal department. He has a strong track record for building solid working relationships with his customers.

Bill Johnson was promoted to the position of manager of the proposal department. His primary responsibility will be to manage the function of delivering timely, accurate and high quality quotations for product solutions. Johnson brings over 14 years of company experience, from the shear and form department, to programming and then area sales manager.

Kristy Hembrook was hired as marketing specialist. She comes with 12+ years of marketing and advertising experience, which includes web development, lead generation, multi-media advertising, project and event management with manufacturing companies such as BCI Burke and The Kohler Company. In her new role, she will be supporting the sales efforts of Buth, Weckerle and Johnson, as well as the North American independent rep organization.

Jorgensen, which has a 100,000 sq ft headquarters and manufacturing facility, was chosen again this year as a Top Work Place by the Milwaukee Journal/Sentinel, an award given to companies based on the results of a detailed employee satisfaction survey. Recent new products include their EcoFilter® and the MunchMan® II Conveyors that provide innovative solutions to continuing and challenging problems with chip/scrap and coolant management in manufacturing processes.
