Rockford Toolcraft Inc. (Rockford, IL) has announced their recent acquisition of an Amada LC-F1NT series laser cutting machine. The 6,000-watt LC4020 flying optic laser cutter provides faster piercing and cutting by using linear drives in all three axes. It features a 6×12-foot shuttle table with the ability to cut steel up to an inch and a quarter thick. The laser also affords exceptional precision and cutting quality, with sharp corners over the full thickness range.

According to Rockford Toolcraft Sales Manager Doug Kosch, acquiring the new Amada LC-F1NT series laser has positioned Rockford Toolcraft Inc. as a fabricator that can address all aspects of heavy-gauge fabrication, from long production runs of stamped parts to short runs of laser-cut parts.

?This laser is one of the largest and most powerful in the Midwest to date,? said Kosch of the Amada LC4020, which is fully operational at his company?s Rockford, Illinois plant. ?Since installing the LC4020, we have already seen the advantages of added capacity and faster, thicker cuts.? Kosch added that Rockford Toolcraft plans to expand its staff to keep pace with the production capability of the LC4020.
