Bosch Rexroth?s new Dallas Regional Service Center will provide a state-of-the-art repair, upgrade and maintenance resource for Rexroth industrial and mobile hydraulics components in the region.

?Looking into the future, I am proud to say that this facility is only a starting point when it comes to Rexroth and service,? said Berend Bracht, president and CEO of Bosch Rexroth in the Americas, at the facility?s open house. ?We are committed to servicing our customer-owned components and applications; that?s why we are so excited to celebrate this milestone in our history in the United States.?

The Dallas Service Center is another step in a planned nationwide network of regional hydraulics service facilities that represent a strategic commitment by Bosch Rexroth to strengthen its successful service business.

?This is a major investment to better serve our customers and develop new markets,? said Bracht. ?In these challenging economic times, we want to do everything we can to help our customers sustain and extend the profitable lifetimes of their hydraulic components and systems. These Regional Service Centers will let us deliver faster, more focused hydraulics repair services, and ensure that our customer?s world-class products and systems are properly serviced by trained Rexroth technicians, using only genuine Rexroth parts."

The Dallas Service Center will provide warranty service, repairs and conversions, along with exchange programs that will help manufacturers reduce their carbon footprint by reusing housings from retuned units. In 2010, the company will also include field service for industrial and mobile hydraulics customers, according to Jim Smith, director of the Regional Service Centers. It will serve a broad cross-section of industries, including offshore drilling, refining, automotive, plastics, construction, agriculture and steel manufacturing. The Center will support customers in Texas, New Mexico, Oklahoma, Kansas, Arkansas, Mississippi, Louisiana, Alabama and parts of Florida.

"We have had tremendous success in selling industrial and mobile hydraulics products across the country, over the years, now by adding local service centers to support this expanded installed base our customers can be reassured that their hydraulics will be serviced properly", Smith said. ?Customers have complained of receiving repair services from repair facilities that sometimes use lower-quality knockoff parts that have a high potential for malfunction or failure, rather than using best practices. With these new Regional Service Centers, customers won?t have to settle for cheap substitutes when you can get first-class repair and exchange service with factory-backed warranties, resulting in maximum equipment uptime and a minimum of unplanned service incidents,? he said.

Housed in a 14,000 sq ft facility, the Dallas Service Center will be equipped with new state-of-the-art hydraulics test stands, and will service motors and pumps, along with proportional and servo valves. The Center will be staffed by expert service technicians and managers trained and certified to deliver high-quality service and support.

The company worked with business partner Womack Systems, LLC (Farmers Branch, TX) to develop service and repair programs designed to satisfy the needs of the region?s hydraulics users, including developing emergency repair programs that feature market-driven lead times for costing, repair and return of the product to the customer.

?We look forward to the opportunity to work with Bosch Rexroth to develop a first-class service and repair business for Rexroth hydraulics customers in the region,? said Mike Rowlett, chairman and CEO of Womack Systems. ?Rexroth hydraulics always provide outstanding performance for our customers, and as a Bosch Rexroth business partner, we want to help ensure that those systems are properly serviced, so our customers get the most value out of their equipment investment.?

The next Bosch Rexroth Regional Service Center will be opened in Southern California in early 2011, with additional regional centers planned to follow.
