Morris Group Adds New Productivity Specialists

Morris South names Hamby as specialist to service southern U.S. territory, Morris Midwest appoints Block as specialist to service the upper midwest U.S.

Morris South, Charlotte, NC and Huntsville, AL, and a division of Morris Group, Inc. (Windsor, CT), appointed Keith Hamby to the position of Productivity Specialist. In this position, Hamby will work with manufacturers in Alabama, Arkansas, Georgia, North Carolina, South Carolina, Mississippi, Tennessee, and Virginia in a customer service capacity to help them improve efficiency of their machine tools by assessing current practices and recommending tooling and accessories.

According to Jerry Rex, the president of Morris South, “Our focus has always been on ‘engineering solutions’ to help our manufacturing customers increase productivity and efficiency. The experience that Keith brings to this position will be a tremendous asset to that focus.”

Hamby brings over 20 years experience in the machine tool industry most recently as sales engineer for General Fasteners (Livonia, MI) and Kyocera Industrial Ceramics (Mountain Home, NC). In those positions, Hamby was responsible for new business development, as well as working closely with customers to help reduce cost in the manufacturing process. He was also involved in training on cutting tool and related products.

In related news, Morris Midwest, Milwaukee, WI and Roselle, IL, also appointed Matthew Block to the position of Productivity Specialist. In his position, Block will work with manufacturers in Wisconsin, Upper Michigan and Northern Illinois in a customer service capacity to help them improve efficiency of their machine tools by assessing current practices and recommending tooling and accessories.
