Prominox Installs Red Bud Precision Blanking Line

Prominox S.A. de C.V. of Mexico City, a service center group specializing in stainless steel and aluminum products, recently installed a Precision Blanking Line from Red Bud Industries (Red Bud, IL) in their facility in San Luis Potosi, SLP, Mexico.

The new line is capable of processing stainless steel material up to .250 in (6 mm). It features Red Bud’s Precision Heavy Gage Grip Feed System. The Grip Feed System gives Prominox the capability of producing blanks with length tolerances of ±.005 in (.127 mm).

Also featured in the line is a Dual Cartridge Leveler that automatically adjusts for the shape of the incoming strip. The system seeks the proper flight position to achieve flat strip and will maintain flat strip even if material shape changes during the course of the coil.

It is capable of processing coils up to 67,000 lb (30,391 kg) at widths up to 72 in (1,830 mm) and thicknesses up to .250 in (6 mm).

This line consists of a Coil Stage & Load System, Uncoiler, Peeler Breaker, Crop Shear, Automatically Adjusting Dual Cartridge Leveler, Edge Trim System, “Pop Up” Flatness Inspection Table, PVC Applicator, “Hands Free” Thread System, Dual Motor Heavy Gage Grip Feed, Shear, primary and secondary Drop Stackers, Part Diverter, Automatically Lowering Stack Table, End Discharge Rollouts, and automatic Pallet Loading System.
