The incoming freshman recipient is Mitchell Pfenning of New Bremen. Renewal recipients include sophomore Clint J. “We are proud to support these students in pursuit of their engineering careers,” said Coldwater Machine president Tim McCaughey. “We believe in developing the talents of young people by offering internships and scholarships, providing them opportunities to engage in today’s modern world of manufacturing.”

To qualify for these engineering scholarships, students must be high school graduates from the tri-county (Auglaize-Mercer-Drake) area pursuing a Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering at the Lake Campus of Wright State University and who maintain at 2.8 GPA or higher. Applicants must apply each year for review by the Western Ohio Educational Foundation committee that chooses four students, one from each of the incoming classes, as a recipient of $3,000 for the current academic year.
