FANUC America Corporation (Hoffman Estates, IL) is pleased to announce that three new CNC training courses are now available online as a flexible, cost-effective way for users to develop expert-level knowledge of factory automation and CNC programming at a time and place that is convenient for them. Students receive FANUC Academic Certification upon successful completion of the course material and evaluations.

The on-line education system offered by the company provides comprehensive content in a robust, interactive learning environment. Courses include 20 hours to 30 hours of learning material focused on helping users become fully proficient in machining center programming, turning center programming and parametric programming using FANUC Custom Macros.

The company worked closely with CNC Concepts Inc. (Trout Valley, IL), one of the premier providers of CNC training, to develop online courses that follow the proven key concepts approach to education that helps users understand the reasoning behind the processes in addition to teaching the processes. Each lesson builds on the information taught in the previous lesson, and provides a logical “show-me” tutorial method of instruction. Upon completion of the course, students will possess a solid understanding of how to get a machine up and into production.

Each course includes access to the company’s eLearning online educational system, a one-year license for NCGuide CNC Simulation Software, email access to dedicated training instructors of the company, all study material, exercises and tests. Upon successful completion of the coursework and evaluations, students receive FANUC Academic Certification, confirming their mastery of the topic.

NCGuide is the company’s CNC software running on a PC. This unique teaching tool allows the student to experience a realistic operating environment without taking a machine out of production for training. With a one-year license the user can take advantage of the PC-based simulation to continue their education even after they complete the course.
