Trilogy Machinery Inc. (Belcamp, MD) has been named the exclusive North American distributor forfrom Sweden. SweBend AB (Hässleholm, Sweden) is the fresh new face on the world market for bending rolls. Although the company might be relatively young, the experience of the staff is sure to make it a major player in the bending roll marketplace.

The entire staff is comprised of former employees from Roundo (located in the same Swedish town), which experienced some financial difficulties and sold its intellectual property to the Italian company Boldrini. Many employees decided to leave Roundo to join SweBend, which now boasts a combined 200+ years of experience in designing, engineering and building bending rolls. Many of the 4,000 Roundo bending rolls currently in service in North America were engineered, designed and built by the team now at SweBend.

SweBend produces a full line of bending rolls and specialty machines, from the smallest to the largest machines on the market. Their innovative CNC control, called “Seven”, has gained widespread acceptance and has even been retrofit on older bending rolls manufactured by their competitors, allowing those shops to enjoy the benefit of having the latest technology on their older machines. Another innovative feature available on many SweBend models is a wireless hand-held Bluetooth control unit that allows the operator to view the rolling operation from the most advantageous and safest location, without being restricted by the length of cable on a control console. This Bluetooth control unit can also be retrofit on many existing Roundo rolls.

“We are excited to introduce these products to the North American market,” said Allan Flamholz, the president of Trilogy Machinery. “Their dynamic product range and unique engineering talent and experience enables us to continue to offer a wide variety of customized bending roll solutions to our customers and dealers.”

“Our entire company is thrilled to be back partnering with them,” added Peter Nilsson, the owner and managing director of SweBend. “It feels like a family reunion for us. All of our employees already know their staff because we have already worked together for many years! We are dedicated to increasing our market share with our quality machinery and our unique capabilities to provide engineered and customized rolling solutions.”

A broad range of SweBend bending rolls can be seen at the Trilogy Machinery headquarters in Maryland. Trilogy Machinery, with roots dating back to the 1970s, is a premier North American distributor of metal fabricating machinery and is the exclusive North American Distributor for Roundo Plate and Angle Bending Rolls and Warcomj Press Brakes and Shears, as well as exclusive U.S. distributor for Sunrise Ironworkers and Punching Machines, Lemas Plate Bending rolls and Akyapak Bending Rolls.
