In Booth C-43021, HE&M Saw, Inc. (Pryor, OK), a manufacturer of band saws, will feature their new semi-automatic horizontal miter HS1216 metal cutting band saw. The saw can miter up to 60 deg with a 12 in high x 16 in wide capacity at 90 deg, 12.5 in wide at 45 deg left, and 8 in wide at 60 deg left. This band saw uses a 1 in blade powered by a 3 hp motor. Its controls include an OMRON Touch Screen with simple, clear and easy to follow prompts that facilitate smooth operation of the saw and all of its functions to set up for either a manual or semi-automatic cut. A 16 in solid discharge table is provided for material handling after the cut. Adjustable main vise, carbide blade guides, manual blade tensioner, adjustable guide arm and built-in coolant system all come standard on the saw.
