Fullerton Tool Joins Jergen in China

Jergens, Inc. (Cleveland, OH) recently welcomed their newest partner, Fullerton Tool Company (Saginaw, MI), to their wholly-owned foreign entity (WOFE) Jergens Shanghai Commercial Company, Ltd. (Shanghai, China). Located in a new economic development technology park in the Jinqiao District in PuDong, Shanghai, the 500 sq m facility contains offices, warehousing and a technical center featuring permanent product displays.

“We are extremely excited to welcome the world-class Fullerton brand to our operations in China,” said Bryon Shafer, the general manager of the ASG Division (Cleveland, OH) and the Jergens Shanghai facility. “While our WOFE in China was established in 2006 to grow market share of our brands into the Chinese market, this business model has recently expanded to provide local market access to other U.S. mid-market industrial product manufacturers, such as Fullerton.”

“The partnership with Jergens Shanghai brings immediate benefits to our organization and has helped establish our sales and support office in the Chinese market,” noted Patrick Curry, the president of Fullerton and the third generation leader of the company founder, Morgan Arthur Curry. “We are beginning to see positive results from the efforts made over the last six months to further establish our presence and ability to serve this market. Our partnership with them has made it a lot easier to deal with many of the compliance issues and having such nice facilities to share has made the job much easier.”

Having direct sales staff on the ground in China, Fullerton has been able to generate many new business development opportunities and is creating many new prospects. “We are very excited about the potential growth opportunity this alliance offers our company,” added Curry. With the growth they are experiencing, Fullerton is currently planning for additional engineering support personnel needs in China through Jergens.
