Petersen Aluminum Orders Light Gage Slitting Line
This new line from Red Bud Industries will be used to manufacture PAC-CLAD metal roof and wall products.

Red Bud Industries (Red Bud, IL) has received an order for a light gage slitting line from Petersen Aluminum Corporation (Elk Grove Village, IL), a manufacturer of PAC-CLAD metal roof and wall products. This line will be the sixth light gage slitting line that Petersen has ordered. They also operate three blanking lines. This new line will provide them with a low cost, low passline, small footprint slitting line that eliminates the need for costly foundation work.
The new line will consist of a Traversing Uncoiler, Support Table with Pinch Rolls, PVC Applicator, Slitter Head, Ball Scrap Winders, Thread System, and Recoiler with Coil Pusher. The line will be rated for 0.050 in (1.3 mm) x 48 in (1220 mm) material, with the ability to handle up to 12,000 lb (5,400 kg) coils.
