In Booth A-2904, TRUMPF Inc. (Farmington, CT) will showcase their cutting-edge fabricating technology, starting with demonstrations of precision bending with their new, ergonomic and high-speed TruBend 7050 press brake that delivers a press force of 55 tons with a bending length of 60 in. Its six-axis backgauge guarantees exact positioning of components with remarkable precision. This new generation of TruBend Series 7000 machines comes with the ACB Wireless system that measures and corrects users’ angles. Also on display will be the TruBend 5170 press brake with the new generation ToolMaster that continues to minimize changeover time, increase productivity and lower cost per part. It also has an increased storage capacity of 279 ft and can automatically load standard, ACB Wireless and custom tooling. This precision bending showcase of new machine features and automation is completed by the TruBend Cell 7000, the world’s fastest system for automated bending of small parts.

Also on display will be the TruLaser 5030 fiber laser cutting system that introduces significant new features for higher productivity to go along with the machine’s robust 10 kW TruDisk laser. Its new Active Speed Control feature enables the system to look straight through the nozzle right at the cutting zone, monitoring it in real-time, autonomously controlling the feed rate of the machine. Smart Nozzle Automation with the new QuickSwap feature will also be demonstrated on the TruLaser 5030 fiber. QuickSwap allows operators to replenish nozzles during the cutting process without interruption via a drawer that extends outside of the machine. Also on display will be the TruLaser 1030 fiber laser cutting system with a LiftMaster Compact and PartMaster, as well as the TruLaser Tube 7000 fiber laser cutting system for fast and flexible processing. Using RapidCut, the high feed rates of this laser are noticeable even on smaller contours as the machine utilizes a 4 kW TruDisk laser to process parts with a diameter of up to 10 in. This open machine concept provides optimal accessibility during loading and unloading.

Also on display will be the compact TruMatic 1000 fiber laser cutting system, demonstrating its increased range of automated production with the new SortMaster Compact that is being introduced at the show. The SortMaster Compact removes, sorts and stacks individual parts up to 24 in x 16 in and up to 33 lb. Requiring almost no additional floor space, this system deposits parts to an easily accessible location in front of the machine. Individually programmable suction cups of varying diameters handle a variety of part configurations and contain sensors to ensure reliable operation. This combination punch and laser machine pairs a “flying” delta-drive punching head featuring all-tool rotation with a 3 kW TruDisk laser. Together they perform an unparalleled range of processes, from punching and forming to tapping and laser cutting, reducing handling and eliminating secondary operations. Other automation offerings include the SheetMaster Compact that loads and removes full sheets.

Also on display will be the TRUMPF Smart Factory (Hoffman Estates, IL) running remotely from the booth at the show through the TruConnect approach to manufacturing. Screens will display production status and equipment operation located at the Hoffman Estates facility. A live connection will allow remote monitoring of order entry, programming, scheduling, and work in progress via TruTops Fab, which ensures maximum production transparency and can easily control and manage processes from order entry to shipping. With this connection to the control of your machine or laser system, you always have an overview of the current status of your production operations and production orders.

Also on display will be SmartServices that digitalize support processes for machine tool customers in the North American market. During the show, TRUMPF will highlight enhanced remote support via their Smart Glasses and other mobile devices, and also present Visual Assistance, an app that enables quick and convenient troubleshooting and also enhances a portfolio of customer communication through MyTRUMPF and TRUMPF’s Service App. New solutions for additional machine transparency through Condition Monitoring and machine data analytics for proactive service solutions will also be on display.

Also featured at the show will be a line of portable power tools for cutting, fastening, beveling and deburring sheet metal, including the TruTool TSC 100 slat cleaner that can thoroughly remove the accumulation of slag on the support slats of 2D laser cutting machines during the cutting process to ensure reliable, high-quality production of laser-cut components. By cleaning the slats regularly, shops can also increase their service life by up to three or four times. Throughout the show, the TruServices team will be on hand to discuss how TRUMPF supports the entire life cycle of equipment with the best financing options, training, consumables, tooling, service and other solutions.
