Kalamazoo Industries Adds 5,000 Sq. Ft. Custom Fabrication Center to Its Facility

Orders for increasingly larger units drove demand for roomier fabricating accommodations.

The additional space enables the company to develop new technology, like its TruArctm oscillation system, says President Scott Allen.

Kalamazoo Industries has added a 5,000 sq. ft. custom fabrication center to its facility to eliminate the backlog of the company’s standard products.

“When we were modifying one of our standard products we could always move it off to the side while we waited for a part shipment” said Scott Allen, president. “But we are getting orders for increasingly larger units – some up to 10-feet high by six by six feet – and there was no “side” to move those units to.”

The new custom fabrication center can easily accommodate two massive units and a somewhat smaller unit, said Allen, “plus the additional space enables us to develop new technology, like our TruArctm oscillation system, which improves cutting speed.”
